This government must rein in social media corporations who are allowing hate and lies to spread online

A small group of far right agitators are using social media to whip up fear and anger, and to spread disinformation and lies. Social media corporations are shamelessly failing to enforce their own rules.

Why is this important?

To avert more violence and unrest, social media companies need to crack down on disinformation. The riots in Dublin show the dangers of unregulated social media with agitators using these platforms to incite violence. For the sake of our communities, social media companies need to be held accountable.
