Don’t use the Good Friday Agreement or a hard border as a Brexit bargaining chip
Why is this important?
The Troubles cost thousands of lives, and tore generations of families apart. The Good Friday Agreement, which put an end to it, was hard won: it was a process which took years and involved people who had been at war with each other sitting down together to work out a way forward.
There can be no return to the past, and no hard border on the island of Ireland.
