This has to stop. Enough is enough. We cannot allow these billion dollar corporations to take our energy and drinking water while ordinary people in Ireland are made to pay the price.
There must be a pause on all new datacentre projects. No more grid connections for electricity or water.
In Singapore, they brought in a moratorium on data centres when they started using 7% of their electricity. In Ireland we're already at 25% and expected to rise to 35% as more and more huge datacentre projects are built.
