Next step - spread the word
On Wednesday, every TD will be asked to vote on a new bill to get rid of the Triple Lock and essentially end Irish neutrality. But there are 14 Fianna Fáil TDs who could still vote against the government and stop this bill.
Will you call these TDs now and leave a message saying that you support them in standing up for the Triple Lock and Irish neutrality?
Use your personal phone to dial the numbers below.

Hi there, I'm calling with a message ahead of this Wednesday's vote on the Defence Amendment Bill. Like many people around Ireland I'm absolutely appalled that the government is pushing ahead with this bill that will essentially end Irish neutrality and open us up to all kinds of warfighting.
This bill will make us all less safe.
Fianna Fáil has always been the party that stood for Irish neutrality and created the Triple Lock as a guarantee to the Irish people following two referedums (the Lisbon and Nice treaties).
Since going into government with Fine Gael, it seems like Fianna Fáil leadership are abandoning that legacy when it matters the most.
I was very heartened to see you and other Fianna Fáil TDs taking a stand on this over the summer. Nothing has changed since then. Poll after poll still shows huge public support for Irish neutrality and the Triple Lock. And the Minister for Defence is yet to give strong logic for removing the Triple Lock now.
As my representative, you have my full support in voting against the Defence Amendment Bill this Wednesday. I fear the kinds of danger Irish soldiers may be put in if we abandon or long history of peacekeeping and get involved in more aggressive overseas missions.
Please do the right thing and vote against the Defence Amendment Bill this Wednesday.
